Line #2: Ma ?
Inmate #738249: Luce
Line #2: Ma, what the fuck are you doing ?
Inmate #738249: I only have 10 minutes on the phone so I need you to listen. I got tired of running. I had to clean my slate and—
Line #2: You should have told me. I could have helped you. What ? Did you think I couldn’t handle—
Inmate #738249: —I needed to do it on my own. Jean helped. He got me in touch with a criminal defense lawyer and we put together a plea deal. We’ve been working on this for two years. I…I had some information the FBI wanted.
Line #2: Jesus Fucking Christ, Ma. Who is this lawyer ? They could have—

Inmate #738249: I got a good deal, Luce. I was supposed to walk but the prosecutor nailed me for carrying. They just needed to get me on something. My report date was two days after your wedding… I didn't tell anyone. I told your brother and sister at the reception after you left. I didn’t want to ruin your wedding--
Line #2: I knew you and Jean were up to something. How long are they keeping you locked up ?
Inmate #738249: I’m hardly locked up, Luce. It’s minimum security, mostly ICE detainees. They gave me 5 months…Luce ? Luce ? Are you still there ? Luce!
Line #2: Hi, Sara? It’s me.
Inmate #738249: Hi Haley. I’m sorry. Jean and Minnow were supposed to tell you two after your honeymoon. Is Luce okay ?
Line #2: You’re on speaker. He’s still here.
Inmate #738249: Luce, listen to me. I dodged a bullet. I was complicit in a lot of awful things in my past besides shooting that cop so I’ll take this. I’ll--

Inmate #738249: I’ll get to have my freedom. A lot of women here can’t say that. I'm tired of having to constantly look over my shoulder. Do you understand that ? Luce ?
Line #2: Luce, baby, it’s okay. He’s…not taking this well. Um, how does visitation work ? Maybe we can come visit—
Inmate #738249: None of you need to see me in here. Jean put enough money into my account to get me through. Luce, you should be able to keep Fallwater going with freelance help as long as we don't take new clients….Luce, talk to me. The phone is going to cut out soon.
Line #2: I don’t like this. I can’t leave you in there. You don’t belong in there. You need to be home.
Inmate #738249: Luce, I’ve survived worse. Don’t shut down over this. Luce ? Luce!
Line #2: Hi Sara, it’s me again. Do you think you can call at a set time everyday ? Just so we know you’re okay.
Inmate #738249: I can try and call the condo once a week. But don’t schedule your lives around me.

Line #2: Luce, baby, you need to talk to your mother--okay, he just rolled out the room. Sorry. Um, what do you want me to tell Nova ?
Inmate #738249: The truth. I told Rias to tell the girls the same thing. Let them see what happens when you run away from accountability… I…should say…watching you with Nova . It’s…It’s part of the reason I decided to---
“Your call with an inmate at a Arizona federal correctional institute has ended. Goodbye.”

A/N
I wanted to get here because this feels like a good place to stop to take another short break. The next (and final) arc will get more into how they all work as an official family. We'll also get more insight into Nova.
It's hard for me to remember how each chapter came to be but at some point I knew I wanted to "redeem" Sara and have her turn herself in. It's why she's been a little MIA in the past few chapters...she's off meeting with an attorney.
