Wait, is that the end ?
Um, yes. I hope that's okay. I mean it's the end of Blessed Hearts, the prequel novella really.
Hey, Shawna you mentoined this was based on greek mythology. Can you tell us who is who ?
I'm glad you asked--
Well, technically you are the one asking the questions . . .
I guess so. Let's start by saying the story is based on the story of Orphues and Eurdyice. You can read the basic synopsis here if you want. Sorry this site has so many ads.
Basically Orpheus wife, Euridyce is bitten on the heel by a snake, goes to the Underworld, Orpheus softens Persephone and Hades heart with a song on his lyre (heh, get it), but he looks back when they leave and she vanishes. This story is also thought to be the root of Lot and his wife's story. She looks back and becomes a pillar of salt.
And Melchoir Dark ?
I'm sure it's obvious. He is Narcissus. Did you know daffodil's are in the genus Narcissus because according to mythology--when Narcissus realized he was in love with his own reflection he stabbed himself in the heart and the first daffodil grew from a drop of blood on the ground.
Also, there is the story of Echo and Narcissus.
Also, the Queen is Persephone. I realized she is always personified as this young girl, I wanted to make her older.
Also, the whole half-demon/battle story is based on Penthesilea and Achilles. I can't find my old link that had the short and sweet story, but basically--Penthesilea is an Amazon and Achilles kills her in the Trojan war. After he removes her helment he falls in love with her and um, necrophialia ensues. . . moving on
So, is Rin in the human world ?
Yep.
Um, did everyone die in the end ?
No. Well, not everyone but all the main characters, yes.
I'm guessing they are all in the human world now ?
Yes.
How will they explain showing up ?
I have my ideas. And no idea. All at the same time. #lifeofapantser.
Can we end this ?
No, I want to answer more questions and type.
How is the Veritas reboot going ?
Okay, fine FAQ over.
Here is a picspiration for Rin in the final scene:
