Dear Valley Healthcare Board of Directors,
We are a collection of mothers and warriors for children with disabilities in the Southwest. We believe the invaluable work you fund at the Valley View Respite Care Facility is essential for families around the country.
We are writing with concern of one of your employees Mr. Alex Haley LPN454027. Mr. Haley currently works at the Valley View Respite Care Facility as a licensed practical nurse. It is our understanding that in this role he is responsible for intimate care of vulnerable children, many of whom cannot express discomfort or fear.
It has come to our attention that this employee has repeatedly expressed crude, inappropriate, sexually charged language relating to minors. A
full detail can be found in the Facebook posts enclosed. He was taken to custody court in 2009 for charges we believe to be child neglect and have learned from sources within law enforcement that he has charges for illegal prostitution, 7 speeding tickets within 5 miles of the hospital and his home address was the location of 12 drug possession charges.
We believe it is of the utmost concern to protect the most
vulnerable. We would like to prevent any future
abuse and ask you do a full audit into Alex Haley’s interactions with patients. Inquiries have been sent to the Nevada Board of Nursing and the Office of Senator Corrigan Jones and Senator Karen Millsworth.
Nurses are heroes and his continued employment is a varnish to
that beautiful legacy.
Thank You,
Mothers of Strength, Southwest Chapter
